Last night I sang as one of the Basses in Sing Together 'Vivaldi's Gloria'. Although I had to overcome slight problems with nerves and a sore throat, I loved performing this brilliant and moving piece of music. It was the best musical event that I have been involved in since my school days in St. Alban's many years ago. Both Choir and Conductor were delighted by the response from the audience at the end of the piece. A big thank you to Len for his enthusiasm, sense of humour and energy in bringing us to the level which we have reached (still room for further improvement, I dare say). I hope that he might adopt us as a choir for similar projects in the near future. Also thanks to our soloists and to Jenny who sung and played beautifully throughout.
