A lovely message from Spoor Memorial Methodist Church, Whickham

On behalf of Spoor Memorial Methodist Church I would like to say how honoured and privileged we felt that such a prestigious choir should sing at our chapel.  Your programme was well thought out and the arrangements were just wonderful.  Please pass on our sincere thanks to Ed Milner, all the choir and Oona.  It was a great evening and we were all richly blessed.

The concert was very well received, and was highly praised as people were leaving, just a few of the many comments "Whickham has received class and quality", "I didn't think it would be my sort of music, but it made me feel so peaceful and relaxed", "So many good voices, and yet so harmonious" .

Please ask the choir to pass on our thanks to the people who came along to support you and in turn supported us.  Thanks also to your publicity/printing department who designed such an eye catching poster and also provided the programmes and tickets.

As you know our church has a small aging congregation, so the money raised will help towards the funding of our new venture which is Messy Church, an initiative aimed for young families and also help with our future community outreach.  Also we will be making a donation to F.A.C.T. (Facing All Cancers Together) and also to a charity which is fundraising for new scanner which produces better pictures than a MRI (sorry I forget the name of the machine) for our QEH, both of these are local charities and will benefit our area.

We wish the choir well in your forthcoming concerts and send you all good wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

Yours sincerely

Ann Clay

PS

As part of Whickham Churches Together, the ladies of our church are frantically knitting Christmas Angels, later in the month they will be put around the village with tags on them asking people to take them and also invite them to come to a special service on the 19th December,   I just thought how coincidental that Ed mentioned angels a few times and you sang about them.
