London times.....

Dear Chamber Choir,

What a wonderful tour! I’m sitting at work rather drowsily facing a strong coffee, and reflecting on what a success it was. As ever, Nicky sourced us some fabulous venues and our great thanks to her for all the time and energy she puts in to making the tour seamless and stress-free. Musically, we could sing easy music all weekend but you know I do like a challenge. There were three highlights for me. Vittoria at St Bart’s – sure it didn’t go so well at St Clement Danes but there was something about St Bart’s that really brought the piece alive. Lukaszewski at St Clement Danes – it really came together, stunning stuff. And Gabrieli at St Clement Danes – we did it! Overall, the quality of the music was very high. As ever, we brought difficult music and we sang it well.
It was lovely as ever to have guests with us - you really made it! Knowing that Jean and Ken couldn’t be with us, we nonetheless will have done them proud, singing with spirit everywhere we went and taking them with us. We look forward to seeing them very soon and send them our best wishes (and a little something extra too).

Thanks as always to everyone who helps – Simon, Vicky, banner carriers, picker uppers. The gang makes it all come together.
Finally, let's share photos somehow and check out #chamberchoirontour for a few bits and bobs.

So thanks again folks! All suggestions for the 10th tour on a postcard to a champion and looking forward to seeing you on 21 September. DUBRA.

Ed
