I am really sorry if this doesn't work for some people - there was slightly more support for the choir for this weekend compared to the 15/16 August, and so far all the offers we have had to sing in London have been for that second weekend.
More details of venues to come but it is likely to be a similar routine as past years, with a sing morning and afternoon on both Saturday and Sunday.
Simon is doing a fantastic job hunting out both accommodation and a venue for a meal on the Saturday night. The thoughts at the moment are that the accommodation offer will be at Imperial College (Kensington) where there is a mix of single, twin and doubles in a total of 25. Prices are £75 for a single and £96 for a twin/double for bed and breakfast. The meal is likely to be in the Covent Garden area.
We appreciate that it is a way off still but to get an idea of numbers so that we can have more meaningful conversations with the College accommodation people and the restaurant, it would be really useful if you could reply telling us the following:
- Whether you are a yes, no or a maybe for the weekend
- If you are a yes or a maybe, whether you are likely to want to book accommodation at Imperial College and if so what sort of room
- If you are a yes or a maybe, whether you are likely to come to the meal on Saturday night and if you are likely to be accompanied by any friends and family
It is likely that we will need to confirm bookings at Imperial College by about mid March if at all possible.
Many thanks
