and if you are another closet recorder player let us know! The orchestra welcomes new members, who are able to sight read and hold their own line in ensemble playing. We meet once a month on Saturday mornings at Kingston Park and we can tell you about other recorder ensembles..

Application deadline - 4 May 2012 The Young Musicians Programme at The Sage Gateshead has something for all budding young musicians aged 5 - 19 years Auditioned ensembles include Weekend School, Young Sinfonia, Stringendo, Sinfonic Winds, Quay Choirs, Folkestra, and Jambone. Please note that the deadline for applications for programmes starting in September is 4th May 2012.  A range of open access (non-auditioned) programmes are also available - please visit our website for details.
