Your Choral Voice Workshop

Interesting opportunity for singers!

Your Choral Voice – presented by 20,000 Voices
A vocal development workshop  for choral singers
with Paul Spicer
Saturday 14 May, 10.30am - 4.30pm
Storey Park Community Centre, Morpeth
Fee: £20 per singer
Special offer - 20% discount when 10 or more choir members book together.

This inspiring workshop with Paul Spicer is for anyone who enjoys singing chamber music, and want to explore wonderful repertoire and learn more about good vocal technique at the same time.

The workshop is open to any choral singer but you should be able to work comfortably from printed music and have some sight reading ability.  As one of the country’s leading choral directors Paul is knowledgeable about repertoire, choral sound and vocal technique - so everyone will leave feeling they have learned something from the day.

The day will include warm up and vocal technique work, and lots of singing - looking at interpretation, phrasing and good vocal sound. Repertoire will be chosen form European Sacred music (ed. John Rutter) and English Pastoral Partsong (ed. Paul Spicer). There will also be an opportunity to observe Paul coaching a chamber choir on their own selected repertoire and performance.  This session will be about  30 minutes long, leaving plenty of time for the whole group to sing under Paul’s direction.
